Nassarius (Zeuxis) concinnus (Powys, 1835)
Length: 19.6mm, Width: 9.5mm, Height: 8.3mm. Scuba, night, approximately 45 ft. Crawling over reef. Agat Bay, Guam. Collected by Steve Norby on 18 February 2005.
Distribution: Indo-Pacific.
Size: Typically 20-25mm.
Availability: Common though difficult to find alive.
Habitat: Fresh dead specimens are often found in sand. They will emerge at night from silty sand (within the reef or the near vicinity) in search of a meal.
Discussion: The specimen figured above was kept for several months in a small aquarium. It proved to be an aggressive scavenger.
